The holidays can be a tough time of the year for anyone with family members serving overseas. That's the case for Lydia Calderon and her husband, whose youngest daughter has just joined the Marines.
Calderon received an incredible early present this year thanks to her boss, 407 BBQ owner Bryan McLarty.
Calderon thought she was just receiving praise for all her work recently and was presented with a bouquet of flowers. She thought that was it until her daughter, Private First Class Maylin Martinez, walked into the restaurant's kitchen.
Calderon told NBC DFW watching Maylin walk through the door "was like whenever I saw her being born." Maylin added, "It was such a great feeling. It was like no other, coming home to your parents after so long of not seeing them.:
Maylin is scheduled to deploy to Japan early next year.
