Cash is becoming a rare possession for people these days. Most everything is paid with a credit card, and with services like Venmo, Zelle, and Apple Pay, payments can be made on your smartwatch without ever having to take out your wallet.
As such, a new survey found that 48% of people believe they will live in a totally "cashless society" in their lifetime.
Honestly, we're not that far away from it now.
Still, there are some people holding onto physical money in their pockets. 71% of the survey-takers say they still "have some level of everyday reliance on cash," and have used cash within the past two weeks.
