A river of wine sounds like a dream, right?  Hey a quick joke: What do you need to be on the lookout for in a river of wine?  Sommelier pirates.

In São Lourenço do Bairro, a small town in coastal Portugal, two tanks at an area brewery gave way, leading to some 600,000 gallons of red wine to flow through city streets, thus creating a river of wine.

The spill was so massive, with enough wine to fill an Olympic-size swimming pool, that it actually triggered an environmental alert.

Officials from Levira Distillery apologized for the incident, saying in a statement per the New York Post, "We assume full responsibility for the costs associated with cleaning and repairing the damage, having teams do so immediately.

"We are committed to resolving this situation as quickly as possible."
