Here's how a light show managed to Rick Roll the entire city of Dallas

It was the ultimate April Fools' prank.

If you don't have a view of the Dallas skyline at night, you probably missed the April Fools' Day prank that was pulled off last Friday. A Fort Worth-based company called Sky Elements Drones specializes in light shows, and they definitely delivered on April 1st.

Using drones, Sky Elements formed a perfectly-shaped, brightly-lit QR code. People who saw the glowing dots naturally clicked on it, and they were taken to Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up".

According to our friends at Dallas Observer, it took 300 drones. The 100-foot wide, 250-foot tall QR code was blasted near Love Field for about 20 minutes. The behind-the-scenes video below packages it together nicely.
