Nobody likes doing chores, and most people don't like doing exercise, right?  Well why not kill two birds with one stone and combine the two?

We know how it sounds, but believe it or not there might be some incredible benefits to adding a little "oomph" to your daily chores, including lowering your risk of dementia.

Those who did the housework most often were a fifth less likely to be struck down with dementia than those who did the least.

Dr Zakariya Waqar-Uddin, a GP in west London, told the Daily Mail that even 10 minutes of housework can get people out of breath and raise heart rate, increasing physical fitness.

And a lack of regular exercise can also increase your risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes or becoming overweight or obese, all of which raise the risk of dementia.

So how do you add a little oomph to your chores?

Try performing lunges while you vacuum.  As you do the laundry, perform squats while getting the clothes in and out of the washer and dryer.  Or how about standing on one leg while you sweep?!
