While the stars were out Tuesday for Major League Baseball's All-Star Game, the most viral clip of the event has nothing to do with any of the players on the field. In fact, it didn't take place on the field at all.
An adult baseball fan has gone viral, and has received incredible criticism, for battling through kids to get an autograph from Houston Astros ace Justin Verlander.
Bleacher Report posted the video of the fan wearing a San Diego Padres hat, captioning the clip "Took getting an autograph to another level."
He can be seen desperately reaching over a young kid in a Dodgers hat and then gets agitated when the kid tries to get an autograph of his own. The man proceeds to maneuver the young kid's arm out of way, and seems to spray angry words at him.
In a response to the video, Blue Jays pitcher Kevin Gausman wrote on Twitter "Honestly this is nothing new, grown men pushing kids for balls, taking foul balls from kids, taking the ball they knew damn well we were tossing to a kid. Be better people."
