Amazon is looking to expand into a market they had a great hand in destroying.
The retail giant recently announced their plans to open large retail outlets similar to department stores that will sell everything from household goods to clothing.
The first stores, which will be around 30,000 square feet, will likely open in Ohio and California, and will "aim to create one-stop-shopping destinations where it will likely showcase its private label brands," according to the NY Post.
Amazon already operates 500 Whole Foods stores nationwide, along with some 20 bookstores and two dozen Amazon 4-Star stores, which showcase popular gadgets, books and household items including kitchenware.
