Experts are calling it "revenge spending."
As the world finally opens up after 18 months of sheltering in place and to-go dining only, Americans are ready to SPEND.
We're buying everything from eating our at restaurants, to going to the movies, the gym, and new clothes, which makes sense since we couldn't do ANY of these things during the heat of the pandemic.
NBC senior business correspondent Stephanie Ruhle explained this new movement to Today, saying that Americans are ready to celebrate, and the fact that most have been able to save money by not going out the last 18 months, and Americans more than ever and even willing to "take on debt to treat themselves right."
Ruhle says that before you go out and revenge spend, make sure to do the following:
1 - Prioritize your needs
2 - Keep your values front and center
3 - Set a budget
