It's a time for celebration for graduating students at Wiley College.
Not only are they graduating so yay, no more school, but they will be entering the real world completely void of debt!
An anonymous donor paid off the $300,000 owed to Wiley College by the graduating seniors, and the 100 or so students were informed at their ceremony Saturday afternoon.
President of Wiley College Haywood L. Strickland told the gathered crowd, "You are debt free. You do not owe the college a penny. If you have a balance, you had a balance."
The private, historically black college is located in Marshall, Texas, about 40 miles west of Shreveport.
