Every year you always hear how the Monday after the Super Bowl should be a national holiday. We think that courtesy should extend to Texas Rangers fans!
Hey, we've been waiting long enough for the Rangers to snag their first World Series championship; we want to celebrate!
Thankfully, Arlington ISD is giving its students and their families plenty of time to celebrate, as they have canceled school on Friday to make sure everyone can celebrate this historic moment!
Dr. Steven Wurtz, interim superintendent of Arlington ISD, said in a statement per FOX 4, "This is the first championship win for the Rangers in their history. It's a huge day for sports fans, and we're excited to celebrate with the team and the community."
Students from Arlington ISD's six different traditional high school will combine to make one band to perform at the championship parade. All sporting events on Friday will continue as scheduled.
