Last week's storms destroyed Wendi Holden's home in Azle. Their home was flung multiple times by straight-line winds, with the entire family inside the home while it happened.
Luckily Wendi, her five family members, and three pets all survived the storms. Unfortunately, their home didn't.
However, a group of anonymous donors got together, and donated a brand new home to the Holden family to replace the one that was destroyed. Holden told WFAA, "I can't. Speechless. My new home! I love it! You can't make this stuff up. It's awesome."
Holden said she was "overwhelmed," and was touched by the gestures big and small from people she doesn't know. She said a woman even reached out to her this week, another total stranger, and donated $1,000 to help the family.
