Clyde Cooper's Barbecue in Raleigh, North Carolina has been serving customers the finest of Carolina barbecue since 1938, and over 84 years, you learn that you just can't please everybody.
Still, you can imagine they've probably never had the cops called on them because a customer didn't like their food!
Well it happened.
A woman who goes by "Annie Cooke" online has earned the title "BBQ Karen" after she left a one-star review of Clyde Cooper's BBQ online, where she revealed she called the police after repeatedly telling the restaurant her meat was "very pink," and had "lots of fat in it."
Cooke told WRAL she had had barbecue at other restaurants before, and it was "never" pink.
She says she called the police because she wanted the restaurant to cook the barbecue longer, serve her something else off the menu, or give her a refund, and she says they did nothing.
"That's just the way I felt -- that's the reason I called the cops, because I couldn't get my money back or I couldn't get a different plate," she explained.
Debbie Holt, owner of Clyde Cooper's Barbecue, said she tried to explain to Cooke how when the meat is smoked, it turns pink, and it's not due to it being undercooked.
Through it all though, Holt says she has no hard feelings.
"Tell her to come back and I'll educate her about North Carolina, southeastern-style barbecue," she said. "I'd be happy to."
The last health inspection for Clyde Cooper's Barbeque showed the restaurant had a 96.5, which is an "A" grade.
