Bonton Farms has not only made it its mission to provide jobs for those looking for a fresh start, their new goal is to provide housing as well.
Bonton Farms is working with the City of Dallas to gain approval for a tiny house village. Right now, two identical light gray, 399-square foot homes, with granite countertops, one bedroom, one bath, and a front porch rest on their property, with the farm hoping to add more.
Bonton Farms worker Eddie Solis is one of the first in line to receive a new tiny home. He's been employed by Bonton Farms ever since serving a 27-year prison sentence for drug-related crimes.
He told NBC DFW, "It can be the size of a little garage and I'll be grateful. I want to tell them how grateful I am."
