Boots is a golden retriever who used to be a therapy dog for Children Health's, working in their Red Balloon Network as well as trauma, and radiology patients.
After a long, long career, Boots is finally ready to hang up his vest and retire.
Per NBC DFW, Boots is still "happy and healthy," and is just taking some time off.
His brother Van is still working at Children's Health.
