Everybody loves a good wedding disaster story, right?
Well, this wedding sounds pretty lovely actually. Too bad not a lot of the invited guests were there to attend.
A woman took to Reddit to vent her frustrations over her niece, who sent out invites to her destination wedding 14 months before the big day.
The woman booked her flight and hotel for the weeding immediately, as her niece said to do so "ASAP."
Well, about a month before the wedding, the bride's father mentioned, "in a VERY offhand manner, according to the post, that this woman's niece had already gotten married in a NEW destination with "a very scaled-down number of guests present."
You can imagine how furious this woman is.
She explained that she's not even mad over the circumstances that forced her niece to alter her wedding plans writing, "The thing is, I understand that that life happens, and sometimes plans change. In this case, Jennifer and her beau actually had a valid reason (it's a long story) for doing what they did."
But to not TELL anyone about this change of plans and allowing her friends and family to book expensive flights and hotels when they could have saved that money is pretty infuriating.
And it's not like this was a precursor ceremony either. The original destination wedding had been canceled, and the bride and groom just didn't tell anyone!
