First, they came for gas-powered vehicles and now, California is looking to take another step to save the environment that many would call a major inconvenience.
The state is working to completely ban plastic bags from grocery stores by 2026!
While the state has already banned thin, "single-use" bags, the new mandate would outlaw thicker "reusable" bags.
Per KTLA, two separate bills have passed the State Senate and State Assembly recently, though the bills still have to go through a reconciliation process and Governor Gavin Newsom would need to sign them into law.
We don't think this law would ever make its way to Texas, but we know a lot of people would be greatly upset.
What else are they supposed to use for the tiny trash cans they have in their bathrooms?
