As animal lovers, we want to see every pet get the proper care and attention they deserve. So, we teamed up with Dallas Animal Services to promote an adoptable dog each week. We'll spotlight our furry friend with photos, videos, and information about each one. Please spread the word so we can help find these four-legged family members fur-ever homes.

This week's doggo is 2-year-old Barkley, a 68-lb. mixed breed who is smart, snuggly, and good with other dogs. Barkley is already potty-trained, crate- trained, and he knows several commands including "sit", "stay", "paw", "down", "leave it" and "come". Barkley #A1150255

Barkley is an energetic, fun-loving boy with super silky coat and a spotted tongue. His foster mom says he is extremely smart & a very quick learner! He knows to sit when the door opens and takes treats very gently.

Barkley loves going on walks and would do well with an active owner. He wears a harness (not a collar clip) for his leash, and he's sits patiently when he's "getting dressed". When he's at the shelter, Barkley does well in a playgroup with the other dogs so he's already socialized. He's also had a kennel mate who he did well with. He also loves cuddling on the couch. His foster mom said he's a giant lap dog.

Schedule a visit to meet this precious dogger, and find out more about the adoption process here. Thanks for spreading the word and saving a life!
If you can't adopt, please consider fostering or donating to Dallas Animal Shelter.
