As animal lovers, we want to see every pet get the proper care and attention they deserve. So, we teamed up with Dallas Animal Services to promote an adoptable dog each week. We'll spotlight our furry friend with photos, videos, and information about each one. Please spread the word so we can help find these four-legged family members fur-ever homes.

This past weekend, Dallas Animal Services asked the community to adopt or foster a medium/large dog in order to help make enough kennel space to end the spread of upper respiratory infections like canine influenza in the shelter. A whopping 160 dogs left the shelter this weekend, but one pup that got left behind was Oreo! Oreo #A1126886 was one of the pups who caught the doggie flu but has been on medication since 11/27 and is feeling much better!

Oreo is a little shy but is good on the leash and has good manners according to DAS volunteers. This two-year-old, 65-lb. pup is ready for a new home. To adopt Oreo, come to 1818 North Westmoreland Road – adoptions are free!

If you can't adopt, please consider fostering or donating to Dallas Animal Shelter. With over tens of thousands of pets entering their facility each year, they need all the help they can get. There are wish lists for necessary shelter items here.
