There's probably a 0% chance we will ever see a sequel to The Princess Bride.

Some might say that thought is even "inconceivable!"

Cary Elwes, who starred as Westley in the 1987 film told E! point blank, "There's no reboot."

Elwes went on to recall a tweet he once saw proposing the prospect of a potential sequel to the movie:  "There was a studio head one time who suggested that and he posted it on Twitter and I responded, 'There's a shortage of perfect movies in this world. It would be a pity to damage this one."

The tweet he was referencing was from 2019, when Sony Pictures Entertainment CEO Tony Vinciquerra told Variety he was interested in redoing The Princess Bride.

When it comes to the original film, Elwes added, "I don't think you can touch it."
