The world was enthralled with the 2008 case of two-year-old Casey Anthony, who was first reported missing and then found to be murdered, and was equally outraged when her mother Casey was found not guilty of the crime.
For the first time in 14 years, Casey will be conducting a televised interview, in a new docuseries where she promises to "set the record straight."
Casey Anthony: Where The Truth Lies is a three-part limited series that will be premiering on Peacock November 29th.
In the documentary, Anthony sits down for her first on-camera interview. She was given no creative control of the project, and was told there would be no guidelines to what questions could be asked.
So why did Anthony agree to do this interview?
A source close to her told PEOPLE, "Everyone has been talking about Casey for 14 years, but she hasn't really talked. So now she's ready to talk. She will finally set the record straight."
Anthony has only previously spoken out once on the case, back in 2017 in an interview with the Associated Press, which was not on camera.
During the interview, Anthony acknowledged that the public didn't like her, but claimed she didn't care.
"I don't give a s--- about what anyone thinks about me, I never will," she said. "Based off what was in the media, I understand the reasons people feel about me. I understand why people have the opinions that they do.
"I didn't do what I was accused of, but I fought for three years," she continued. "Not just for me, but for my daughter."
