Rapper and actor Chet Hanks does not believe he had a "strong male role model" growing up.

Chet is the 31-year-old son of Tom Hanks. Yes, THAT Tom Hanks.

You know, the guy who everybody thinks is the nicest man in Hollywood, and the guy you'd be hard-pressed to find a single horrible word said against him? That guy, apparently, was not a strong male role model.

In a video posted to his YouTube channel Chet explains that he never had anyone teach him when he was younger to tell people who perceived him as "arrogant, entitled and spoiled" due to his upbringing to "F-ck off. They are just jealous of you."

Chet continued, "You have all these things that they want, so they are trying to f–king throw their shade at you so you can feel s–tty about yourself because they are jealous.' I needed to hear that. I didn't have anyone to tell me that. This is me now telling the younger version of myself what I needed to hear then."

Despite the somewhat resentment for his upbringing, Chet also says he wouldn't change a thing.

"There's a lot of advantages, but sometimes it can be pretty weird. I got to do a lot of cool s–t that a lot of people don't get the opportunity to do," he said. "I got to travel the world, stay in nice hotels, fly on private planes, and I'm very blessed for that. I wouldn't change my situation.

Per Page Six, Tom shares sons Chet and Truman with his wife, Rita Wilson, and is also dad to son Colin and daughter Elizabeth with his first wife, the late Samantha Lewes.
