CityLab High School is one of five "transformative schools" in the city, and has a specialized curriculum focusing on environmental science, urban planning, city policy, and architecture.
This year's graduating class will be the first, so in honor of its students, the school planted 71 trees, one in honor of each student, were planted at Dallas' Heritage Park.
According to NBC DFW, The Texas Trees foundation worked alongside the Dallas Park and Recreation to help honor CityLab High School's inaugural graduating class.
