How far is too far in the name of health?
The kitchen and bathroom company Kohler has begun offering a $600 toilet camera that you install directly into the bowl, that watches you “go” and then uses an algorithm to analyze the results and track your health.
It’s called the “Dekoda,” and the company says it’s “the first-of-its-kind health tracking product that decodes your body’s signals from the comfort and privacy of the bathroom.
“Dekoda unlocks insights on gut health, hydration, and blood detection in the bowl that you can use to build habits for living better, healthier.”
Per CNET, Kohler says there’s no chance of the cameras pickup up anything you wouldn’t want them to, as the Dekoda's sensors “see down INTO your toilet and nowhere else."
