Home Alone is no doubt one of the most beloved Christmas movies of all time, and its appeal comes from the McAllisters accidentally leaving Kevin home alone during their trip to Paris.
Well a couple of parents in Arizona are facing charges after taking a trip during their holidays, and leaving their kid at home to fend for himself.
34-year-old Melissa Green left her Elfrida, Arizona home just before Thanksgiving, followed by 40-year-old Bobby Jo Green who left just after, leaving their 11-year-old son to seemingly fend for himself.
The police received a tip that the kid might be home alone and did a welfare check on December 12, meaning their son was probably home alone looking after himself for two weeks!
Thankfully the child was ok and had plenty to eat, but he hadn't been to school for those two weeks. Child Protective Services took him in.
Melissa and Bobby Jo were arrested upon their return from their trip on December 29th, and according to WHDH, are facing charges of child neglect.
