In this day and age, it's not enough to just have a normal wedding to profess your love for your partner. It has to be an experience. Thank you, Influencers.
Well, this couple in Indiana didn't want a large ceremony, so they held it in an area coffee shop in Indianapolis called Mansion Society. The only thing is, they didn't tell anyone at Mansion Society about it.
The entire wedding, which included some 20-30 guests, showed up to the coffee shop unannounced and held a "pop-up wedding." The wedding guests reportedly blocked customers from placing an order and even treated the shop's employees "as if they were their party caterers."
One employee told the NY Post, "They were asking us to take coats, purses and watch personal items as if they had rented us out for a personal event."
It should be mentioned that the coffee shop does host private events, but charges $500 to do so.
The owners of Mansion Society held off on posting about the couple for fear of getting "canceled," though they eventually relented after the bride and groom refused to admit they did anything wrong.
After some backlash, the bride offered to pay $200, but refused to pay the full $500 fee calling it "unreasonable."
