We all remember the old excuse from school "my dog ate my homework," right?  Well, this Pittsburgh couple experienced that old lie first-hand.  Except their dog didn't eat their homework, but their money!

A LOT of money.

Pittsburgh couple Clayton and Carrie Law recently had a new fence put in, and the workers wanted to pay in cash.  They withdrew $4,000 from their bank, but before they could hand it over, their dog got a hold of it.

Yup.  $4,000 eaten.  Completely.

Miraculously, they were able to recover $3,550 of it, but they had to sift and dig through their Goldendoodle Cecil's poop to get it.

The couple told the Pittsburgh City Paper that Cecil is doing just fine, and they've already forgiven him.

They did note though that going forward, they'll keep in mind that he has "very expensive taste."
