Cowboys cornerback Jourdan Lewis was born and grew up in Detroit, so you can imagine how much it meant to him to take the field this past Sunday against his childhood team.
Unfortunately, after securing an interception that sealed the game for the Cowboys, Lewis suffered an injury and needed help off the field.
The team learned yesterday that Lewis suffered a Lisfranc injury, where the bones in the midfoot are broken or ligaments that support the midfoot are torn, which would necessitate surgery and end Lewis' season early.
Lewis is in his sixth season with the Cowboys after being drafted by the team in 2017. Sunday's interception was his eighth of his career and fourth since playing in Dan Quinn's defense.
