Well, that didn't last long. Longtime NBA player JJ Redick became a Dallas Maverick in the spring of 2020. Less than a month after playing his first game with the team, he was injured and stayed out the remainder of what was already a shortened season.

Fast forward to Tuesday, and the 37-year-old is announcing his retirement on his social media channels. Redick thanked multiple people who have been part of his 30-year basketball journey and said it's time for him to spend more time with his family. With his new podcasting endeavor, it's unlikely this will be the last we see of him.
