That previous report that listed Texas as the seventh best state to drive in must not have spent much time in Dallas.
A recent study has found that traffic levels across the country are reaching "pre-pandemic levels," and as it stands, Dallas is proving to be one of the most congested cities in the country.
And believe it or not, traffic levels still aren't exactly where they were in 2019!
According to the Dallas Morning News, data from INRIX shows that North Texas drivers lost an average of 56 hours in 2022, which is up 15 hours from 2021 but still 11% below pre-pandemic levels.
Dallas ranked 14th in the country in terms of congestion.
The most congested cities to drive in? Chicago, whose drivers lost 155 hours; Boston — 134 hours; and New York City — 117 hours.
The report also found that the congestion cost the Dallas $3.1 billion, or $953 per driver.
