It's truly the end of an era in Dallas as the original Blue Goose Cantina right on Greenville Ave. will be closing its doors for good after almost forty years of service.
According to the Dallas Morning News, the location is closing due to a lease dispute.
A statement says that employees at the original location can work at other Blue Goose restaurants, if they choose, or at the family's other restaurant group Aw Shucks.
Blue Goose currently has six other locations, in Frisco, Plano, McKinney, Highland Village, Grapevine and Fort Worth, with another expected to open in late March 2023 in Grand Prairie.
The last day of business for the original Blue Goose will be March 19, which means they have one more St. Patrick's Day in them; the annual Greenville Avenue parade is scheduled for March 11.
