Kevin Kelley, the owner of TRUE Kitchen + Kocktails in Dallas has gone viral as of late, and it all began with a few women twerking.
A group was eating at the restaurant this past Sunday when he noticed a couple of women standing up on the tables and dancing and twerking right in the middle of the restaurant. Kelley would later say, "At a certain point, some of the customers started to get up and do a twerk dance. And so, we just discouraged them from doing that because we are a restaurant."
Tensions grew between the party and Kelley, which escalated into Kelley yelling that anyone who wanted to twerk could "get the [expletive] out of my restaurant."
Kelley was criticized for the music TRUE Kitchen + Kocktails played, with many comparing the environment to that of a day party, which would, obviously, encourage dancing. The restaurant released a statement saying that the playlist and DJ selection would be modified, but that the atmosphere "was not conducive to standing on furniture and twerking."
