Dallas residents with low-level warrants can get them squared away the next couple of weeks without any fear of a potential arrest.
This week and next week, the city of Dallas will waive any misdemeanor warrant fees, along with any Class C misdemeanor warrant fees, if the person in question donates a package of three or more socks.
Per Fox 4, the socks will be donated to The Bridge, a homeless recovery center in Dallas.
City officials said the goal of the two-week campaign is to encourage people with outstanding warrants for things like traffic violations, disorderly conduct, or minor drug offenses to respond to those citations by appearing in walk-in court.
The city also insures that the courthouse is a safe harbor location, meaning anyone trying to resolve a Class C misdemeanor warrant will not be arrested there.
Anyone with questions can call 311 or 214-670-0109 for more information.
