"Tipping culture" is a frequent conversation Miles in the Morning likes to have, and how the idea that you tip a server for providing excellent service has really become a thing of the past.
Nowadays, tipping 20% on top of your bill seems standard, even at restaurants where the service provided is virtually nonexistent.
That's the situation Jeff found himself in while eating at a restaurant in Florida during his recent vacation.
All the ordering was done via the restaurant's website and app all on his mobile phone, so the only interaction he had with the server was them bringing their food and drinks and taking them away, and at the end of the meal, he was presented the option of leaving a tip worth 18%, 20%, or 22%.
There was an option for "Other," however, which Jeff selected and tipped $5 on a bill over $130.
Was Jeff in the wrong here? The idea of tipping for excellent service has really become a thing of the past, and is really just expected do matter what restaurant you go to.
