Luka Doncic is playing just on an absolute different level right now, and that's none more evident than this stat:
Following the Mavs' 103-100 win over the Utah Jazz Wednesday, Doncic became the first NBA player in 60 YEARS to score at least 30 points in each of his team's first seven games of the season.
This feat was last accomplished by Wilt Chamberlain, then a center for the Warriors who during the 1962-1963 season, scored at least 30 points in the Warriors' first 23 games of the season.
After Wednesday's game, Doncic told WFAA, "I always hear Wilt Chamberlain, so he's always there. It's great. I just wished to play in the NBA. This is really a dream for me. Couldn't be happier just to play basketball, to do my job, and that's it."
Doncic's performances this year this far include:
Oct. 19 at Phoenix: 35 points
Oct. 22 vs. Memphis: 32 points
Oct. 25 at New Orleans: 37 points
Oct. 27 at Brooklyn: 41 points
Oct. 29 vs. Oklahoma City: 31 points
Oct. 30 vs. Orlando: 44 points
Nov. 2 vs. Utah: 33 points
The Mavs host the Toronto Raptors on Friday night at the American Airlines Center.
