A herd of 15 elephants native to the south-western province of Yunnan have migrated some 400 kilometers northward with no clear destination in sight.
Unfortunately along their journey, these elephants have caused over $1 million in damages on their inadvertent journey, which many believe the elephants are undertaking because they are drunk.
The theory is that the elephants found their way to an alcohol factory, and consumed some of the booze because it had "a similar smell to rotting fruit," according to ABC.
The Chinese state news agency Xinhua said that "precautionary measures" are being taken to avoid any elephant-human conflict.
