Jarren McTee is an eighth grader at Farmersville Junior High School.

He is also the team manager and water boy for the school's football team, but all Jarren wants to do is play. Unfortunately, his mother suffered a hemorrhage in the final days of her pregnancy, and oxygen was cut off. Jarren was born with a form of cerebral palsy that limits his mobility and his ability to speak, and he's been in a wheelchair for most of his life.

That hasn't stopped him from dreaming, however, and a couple of weeks ago those dreams came into fruition when Jarren checked into a game against Community ISD. Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Brandon Hankins said, "I just wanted him to feel like he got a chance to shine. He shows up every single day and puts a smile on my face and the coaches and the kids. So, we thought it was the right time and a special place."

Jarren went into the game as a tailback, and accompanied by his sister, as well as the rest of the Fightin Farmers', Jarren with the ball in his lap made a break for the end zone, and scored!

Hankins continued saying, "He's a special kid and our kids love him. He's a friend to them all. He's an inspiration every day for our kids."
