These last couple of days have felt pretty nice, right? Granted that "cold front" we experienced only dropped temps to around 95° but compared to the rest of the summer it felt great!
Well, that's all over now. Time to head back to reality.
A new heatwave is set to rip through North Texas, and once again ERCOT is asking Texans to "voluntarily conserve energy" ahead of the rising temps.
Per NBC DFW, ERCOT officials said the warmer temps "could lead to a higher electrical demand " as well as the potential for lower reserves. According to their live supply-and-demand tracker and forecast, ERCOT's energy supply was going to "closely match the state's supply in the afternoon hours Thursday."
ERCOT recommends Texans set their thermostats to 78° to offset the strain on resources.
