The amount of screen time a child should be allowed wasn't a concern thirty years ago but is one of the top things parents of young kids worry about today. How much time is too much on the tablet?
Well according to a group of experts in Sweden, if your child is under the age of two any screen time is too much.
According to Fast Company, the researchers found that exposure to screens at such a young age resulted in negative effects like "poorer sleep, depression, and limited physical activity."
Even as the child ages, this group recommends screen time be limited.
From the ages of 2 to 5, they should have a maximum of one hour a day in front of a screen; for those aged 6 to 12 it's two hours, and teens should have no more than three hours of screen time a day.
Yeah, try taking a teenager's phone away from them after three hours and see how that goes.
