The days of being stuck in a traffic jam may soon be behind us.

For the first time ever, the FAA has approved the testing of a legitimate flying car!

The car is made by a company called Alef, and takes flight vertically, meaning if you're stuck in traffic you can float up, drive past whatever is causing the delay, land, and then be on your merry way!

Jim Dukhovny, CEO of Alef said in a statement per PR Newswire, "We're excited to receive this certification from the FAA. It allows us to move closer to bringing people an environmentally friendly and faster commute, saving individuals and companies hours each week. This is a one small step for planes, one giant step for cars."

You can join the list and preorder your Alef flying car, which is expected to cost in-full $300,000.
