A man who only identified himself by his first name Dwight was watching an Adopt-a-Pet" segment on FOX6 News in Milwaukee last week when he thought one of the dogs looked really familiar.
The dog being featured was brown, "with the most adorable underbite" according to USA Today, and Dwight instantly knew that it was his family's dog Payday, whom went missing nearly two years ago.
He contacted the news station, who in turn contacted the Wisconsin Humane Society who set up the emotional reunion.
The Wisconsin Humane Society shared video of the reunion on Facebook writing, "Payday was originally brought home as a companion for Dwight's now 12-year-old daughter, who was still distraught over the incredible loss of her best friend. We are beyond ecstatic for this amazing family to finally be whole again."
