When we were kids, we all had to think our parents were the smartest people alive because we could take our homework to them that had us questioning our existence, and they'd be able to solve it in no time flat.

Parents these days seem to have it a bit tougher.

Ever since "new math" became a regular part of the school curriculum, some of these questions have to have some parents wondering just what these schools are teaching their kids.

Take for instance this question the first grader of a North Texas woman named Tiesha Sanders posted on Facebook.  She wrote asking for the teacher's explanation why her daughter got the question wrong, and the explanation leaves us more confused than before!

None of the people in the comments seemed to have any clue how to answer the question, either.

Per the NY Post, the comments ranged from, "This is goofy," to someone else writing, "This would have pissed me off," to another simply adding, "The hell???????"
