This past Wednesday in Sterling Heights, Michigan, a driver ran a red light cutting off a garbage truck in the process. The truck driver swerved to avoid a collision, however in doing so lost control, drove over the median, and crashed into a building.
Officers soon arrived at the scene and during an inspection of the damaged building found that it was housing a massive and illegal marijuana-growing operation.
According to Click On Detroit, there were more than 260 plants, spread throughout three rooms in the building. Though some of the growers involved had medical marijuana licenses, the collection was so large that it was considered "commercial," which is definitely NOT allowed.
The police are still investigating the incident, so no charges have been filed nor arrests been made. Nobody was hurt in the crash.
