Garth Brooks is excited about 'coming home' to DFW

The singer hasn't had a concert here in seven years.

A few weeks ago, Garth Brooks announced that he would be rolling through the metroplex on his upcoming tour. The country superstar will be at AT&T Stadium on July 30th, and tickets went on sale Friday.

In a recent Tweet, Brooks talks about how excited he is to be "coming home" to DFW. I wasn't sure what he meant by that, but WFAA chatted with him about it.

Apparently the two-time Grammy winner lived in the area when he was just getting started in his career. He's also played at the old Texas Stadium and American Airlines Center.
