Athletes and fans all across the country are gearing up for the beginning of college football season, and we would wager nobody is more excited for this year than Marshall Landwehr.
A fifth-year senior from Dallas, Landwehr is a walk-on linebacker for the Longhorns. Well, he was a walk-on.
During a team meeting, Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian surprised the squad with a video from Texas alum, actor Glen Powell, who announced that Landwehr had been offered a scholarship!
According to FOX 4, Landwher has appeared in 15 games since joining the team in 2021. He previously attended Highland Park High School, where he earned an all-state honorable mention on defense.
The Longhorns, who begin the year ranked No. 1, open the season against the No. 2 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes on August 30.
