Dallas police were able to apprehend a pair of teens accused of being in connection with ten robberies across North Texas.
The suspects were fleeing from the police when they crashed into a car at a gas station near Abrams and Royal, where they tried to escape on foot.
They might've escaped the clutches of the police again, had it not been for the actions of a pair of good Samaritans who stopped one of the suspects in their tracks.
Christopher Binegar, who is also an off-duty security guard, told WFAA, "I saw him jump and try to run away and I thought if he has a gun or knife he may hurt someone here. If you hesitate, that's going to be a life. Something could have happened to you or someone else."
Air One responded to search for the other perp, who was located at a nearby apartment complex where he was immediately taken into custody by the Dallas police.
Police Sgt. Matthew Terry and Chief Eddie Garcia thanked the good Samaritans and say because of their quick actions, they were able to give officers time to focus on capturing the second suspect.
Terry said, "Very heroic, even telling several of the officers at the scene we wouldn't have been able to do all this if it hadn't been for them, too."
