Every girl looks forward to her wedding day. It takes months of planning and often costs a fortune. So imagine Christine Karmire's surprise when her now-husband Gannon was hospitalized on their big day. Not to worry, Christine improvised.

The morning of their ceremony, Gannon came down with food poisoning and had to seek immediate treatment. As Christine told People, the North Carolina couple had already postponed the event multiple times so she was determined to make this date work.

Using a rolling steamer, pool cues, a suit, and an iPod with her fiance's picture, Christine crafted a mannequin she dubbed "Stick Gannon". He attended the service and even danced with her at the reception!
