Han Solo truly believed that nothing was a match for a good blaster at your side, and it appears he spoke no lies.
The original Blaster pistol held by Harrison Ford in Star Wars recently sold at auction for $1 million!
And no, neither Billy Kidd nor Luckey was the buyer; neither has that kind of scratch.
This particular gun was the last surviving example of three models that were made for the franchise's original trilogy. The firearm was originally valued between $300,000 and $500,000, and sold for a cool $1,057,500.
According to The New York Post, the DL-44 can be seen strapped to Ford's leg during the conclusion of Star Wars: Episode IV — A New Hope, though was later reported missing after the film wrapped, forcing artists to re-create a new gun for The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
Back in 2018, the gun used in Jedi was sold for $550,000.
The highest-priced piece of Star Wars memorabilia ever sold, however, goes to the original R2-D2 droid, which sold for $2.76 million in 2017!
