"Momma Cue" opened Cue's Burgers in southwest Houston over 30 years ago, and from its inception became a haven for the Houston police department.

Momma Cue would open early, stay late, and would even give some officers keys so they could come and go as they please.

Unfortunately, Cue's Burgers has become a recent victim of multiple instances of vandalism, from broken windows to graffiti. However, it didn't take long for the Houston Police Department to step in and help.

Officers with the Houston Police Officer's Union raised $2,000 for Momma Cue to help repair her windows and invest in a new security system. Officer Perez of the HPD told ABC 13, "She always invites and supports, but doesn't ever ask for it. We want to go above and beyond what we typically do because she deserves this."

Momma Cue was obviously overwhelmed. She said, "Every officer that walks through that door, they are my family. I come to this country, don't have no family. When I opened the business in 1988, I went to the City of Houston and talked to the mayor to dedicate this place to officers only. Any hurricane, any storm, I will be here for my officers."
