John Venegas Juarez is a senior at YES Prep charter school in Houston, and he has a very difficult decision ahead of him, as most high school seniors do.
Juarez is getting ready to decide where he will be attending school in the fall, though Juarez really has his pick if the litter, as he has been accepted into 22 different schools, including Princeton, Brown, University of Chicago, Dartmouth University, and Cornell University.
The son of Mexican immigrants and a first-generation student, Juarez says he takes pride in his accomplishments not just for his sake, but his family's too. He tells ABC 13, "These are not only my achievements. This is an achievement for my family. This is an achievement for first-generation students. This is an achievement for people like me, to be represented in higher education."

Juarez still hasn't made his final decision yet, though he says he wants to make a difference, and dreams of going to law school in order to pursue a political career.
"My parents fought so hard to get me to where I am today. Why not make the most of my life here? Why not reach for the stars and apply to so many programs and do the best that I can in this country," he says.
