You know they say that once something is on the internet, it's there forever.  No matter what you do to delete something, say a photo, someone somewhere will know how to access it.

We didn't think our iPhones would be able to do that themselves, though.

Apparently, a new iPhone update is causing a lot of user's data they deleted a long time ago to be resurrected, and that includes some nude photos apparently a lot of people have taken and deleted.

The phenomenon was discussed on a post on Reddit, where many users lamented about their old, deleted data being brough back to life.

One person wrote, "Erm, so yeah. Very creepy. Thoroughly freaked out."  Another asked about the potential issues to our privacy posting, "Isn't it a really big thing? I mean, Apple is a privacy advocate, but if deleted files are not really deleted after so many years. How can we trust it?"

Users on the tech blog MacRumors theorize that the issue could be a "cloud synching issue that's somehow restoring from backups," or potentially a "de-bug that refreshed your photo library, and may have "recovered" media that was in limbo."
